Dr. Chris Keirnan

Chiropractor

Dr. Chris Keirnan was born and raised in Florida. While running a successful bicycle shop after graduating from FSU, he had a low back injury after jumping off a 12-foot wall on his bicycle.

Seeking Chiropractic care, he learned how the brain controls all of the parts of the body, including his digestive organs and sinuses. After this experience helped him not only feel better but also improve digestion and reduce allergy symptoms, he decided he needed to become a Chiropractor and share this miracle with everybody.

While acquiring his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in Atlanta, he was introduced to the technique Chiropractic BioPhysics. Right away he was drawn to the science and precision of this technique. He practiced for 3 years in Atlanta and almost 5 years in Asheville, NC before finding his way west to settle in Denver in 2014.

In his spare time, he races his car in autocross and enjoys cycling, working out, and hiking for fun and fitness.

Karen Rylander

Certified Nutrition Consultant

Karen Rylander, Certified Nutrition Consultant, grew up in Houston, TX and moved to Colorado where she earned a B.A. in anthropology from the University of Colorado-Boulder in 2000.

After removing processed, inflammatory foods and adopting a primal-type diet in 2009, she felt great health improvements including more energy, fewer skin problems, better sleep, and more balanced moods.

This experience inspired her to learn more about nutrition and she attended Bauman College in Boulder, CO to receive her certification as a nutrition consultant in 2011.

She has been working with clients since then, helping them find greater health and vitality through a real-food, ancestral approach to health. Karen is also a trained chef and loves to Crossfit.

Beyond the gym, she enjoys walking, skiing, reading, hiking, and leisurely biking.

Shannon McFall-Michelson

Office Coordinator/Rehab Specialist

Shannon was born in Denver and began receiving regular chiropractic care from a young age. Drawn to the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest, she moved to Olympia, WA to attend The Evergreen State College where she obtained a B.A. in Humanities. After college, she followed her passion for serving seniors and worked in senior centers, nursing homes, and retirement communities for many years before deciding to attend massage therapy school.

After becoming licensed as a massage therapist, she started a massage business and eventually moved back home to Colorado where she continued pursuing her love for bodywork. With a strong background in anatomy and a great deal of personal chiropractic experience, Shannon joined Advanced Spine Rehab Center as a Chiropractic Assistant to further her lifelong love of alternative healing methods.

In her spare time, she loves to fiddle traditional Irish music, spend time in nature, a volunteer with Reading Partners as a reading tutor, and spend time with her rescue animals and family.
